Introduction to Engineering

Engineering is a challenging and rewarding profession that affects every aspect of modern life. The career opportunities are tremendous. Engineers provide services and products by applying science and mathematics to solve problems. This class will overview the various branches of the engineering profession. Students will learn what engineers do and gain insight into how engineers work. Students will perform engineering career and engineering explorations. In addition, students will examine physical and mathematical properties that are fundamental to all engineering disciplines. Students will also study essential trigonometry needed for the second semester work in statics.
